Do's & Dont's for M&T Band Stadium

Please share this important information with your group members!

Do's

  1. Do have your hair pulled back, hair at a natural color, and nails kept at a natural length & color.
  2. Do wear black pants, black shirts, and non-slip close-toed shoes – NO JEANS, LEGGINGS OR SWEATPANTS.
  3. Do familiarize yourself with the stadium, where bathrooms are located, where ATMs are located, and where “first aid” is located so that you can direct our fans & guests.
  4. Do dress appropriately for the weather.  We work outdoors in the winter… so that means cold and sometimes rainy or snowy conditions.  You are permitted to wear long sleeved black shirts, thermals, or coats under the approved M&T Bank Stadium uniform.  They must be solid black – NO exceptions.
  5. Do display your credential at all times while in the stadium.
  6. Do remember the alcohol policy as you learned in your TEAM class.  Guests may be served two beverages per person per transaction and anyone appearing to be 30 or under MUST be carded.

Dont's

1.      Don’t take a break with your uniform on.  Take off your shirt & hat to appear as a fan while on your break.

2.      Don’t have any facial jewelry.  Do not have any jewelry in your ears larger than a dime and no necklaces or bracelets that can be potentially hazardous while cooking food.

3.      Don’t bring umbrellas, coffee cups and mugs, backpacks, large bags, fanny packs.  The only bags that are allowed must be the size of a brick or must be clear.

4.      Don’t wrap up food to take home at the end of the event.

5.      Don’t participate in any stadium promotions or events.  While in the stadium, you are there as a volunteer and working to raise money for your organization.  Promotions are only open to the paying fans.

 Need to Know Items

§         If you opt to utilize the lightrail, it doesn’t start running until 11am on Sundays.  If we have a 1pm game, that is too late to arrive at the stadium, so you will have to consider alternative transportation.

§         Parking is free at the Montgomery Park Lot, and shuttles run from the lot to the stadium.  Please allow travel time from the lot to the stadium.

§         All volunteers will check in at Gate B.  Be prepared to show ID to get your game day credential.  If you have your TEAM or TIPS card, it will speed up the process.  Gate B closes a half hour before gates open to the public, and late check in is at the black door to the right of Gate B.  That gate will stay open for approximately an hour.

§         The event center opens two hours before gates.
