We should most definitely do these songs for jazz band:

  1. Salt Peanuts (with vocals, of course)
  2. Take 5
  3. Hunting Wabbits or any other BPB chart
  4. A cool latin chart. Desafinado or latin arrangement of Somewhere Over the Rainbow
  5. Sunny Side of the Street a la Louis Armstrong
  6. Bugle Call Rag
  7. Cantaloupe Island
  8. Ko-ko (at the 300+ bpm Bird does it at)

Let's get them ready for the jazz band practices that are coming up really soon....right?

More flute parts. More of an educational feel. Most people in jazz band don't know all that much about jazz or how it's different from what we're used to. We can't all be Cory Meads.

agreed with sarah. i am totally cool with the white and yellow books for jazz. seriously, because they just give you improv sections anyway, so cor cor, you can pretty much do whatever you want anyway.
