Without using the Internet as a search source (use a music instrument or your voice instead),  give the movie and film score composer that used these five notes: G, A, F, F(octave lower), C - or this other sequence: Bb, C, Ab, Ab (octave lower), Eb.

The sequence of these notes were used in the musical main title (overture of sorts) of the movie.  These notes were also used throughout the film.

Take an educated, researched guess.

Oooh! The alien one! I think. I sort of just did it in my head so I don't know for sure. And I don't know the name of it.

The answer is......Close Encounters of the Third Kind directed by Steven Spielberg with the music scored by none other than, John Williams (Star Wars, Jaws, War of the Worlds, Superman, etc.).

The five-note motif (or short musical idea) is the driving force behind much of the music in the movie.

That's the one with the aliens right?  And the humans communicated with them through music notes or something. I wish everybody communicated that way.

Right.  That would be very interesting.  What would music for enjoyment sound like in that case?  Just wondering...

Then their "music" would just be people talking. Which would make Theory even harder than it is.

Music for enjoyment, in my mind, would probably just be like telling a joke.  It'd be a nice light, melodic tune, and probably wouldn't last song.  It'd make the job of being a musicianeither become a linguist, comedian, or people that make proffessionalspeeches.

It'd be like extreme Minimalism in music form!
