I spelled it Daneil for a reason. DANIEL ok i was watching this musical on thursday. and a quote came up. i will say this for the rest of the year. "between a simile and a metaphor is all the sadness of the world" for some reason it intreeged me. and i founf a deep anaylisis of it. think of a simile (to be like) a metaphor (to be) lets be the best, not like the best but be them. wheter it is running to sets, giving all you got (i know) or runing to water lets be it and be the best. i wish i could use the exact quote but im on my cell phone. i didnt get to respond to the deleted thread but how could i? i was wrong. i admit to defeat. if anyone feels that OUR band is better with out me then tell me and i will walk away from it. i capped our because it is our band, lets take ownership of it. i just found this out a couple of days ago but im a senior. its my last and hopefully first year i can walk off the field at our last show proud and happy at not just mine but the groups performance. that perfection an impossible goal was reached tonight on a stupid football field. im sorry this is a rant and most of you probably stopped reading after "musical" but yeah lets make this the best year ever. i feel like i have so much to say but nothing i could ever say will defend myself. except i was wrong.

Daniel,

Thank you for your post.  No harm was intended with my post about the drum major position.  I am working on the position.  YOU are a necessary member of this ensemble.  Everyone has their moments of frustration and disbelief.  We would not be human if we did not have those emotions.  This band has struggled to get we it is now, but no good, well-deserved achievements go without struggle.  We all have to keep our eye on the prize, which is to become better people and better musicians with a common goal of creating a better band.

Good luck with Jersey Surf and their season.  I know you are working hard.  See you at camp.

Sincerely,

Mr. McMahan
