"Somewhere Over the Rainbow" Transcription and Arrangement Assignment

Rewrite solo in different key to make it easier for you (optional)
Write the solo with a four-part chorale (grand staff - Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass) with melody in Soprano part (key signature of choice).
Use the four-part chorale to write an arrangement using the classes instrumentation.

-Voice or piano (concert pitch) - chord symbols may be used

-Flute (concert pitch)

-Bb Clarinet (up a whole step from concert pitch)

-Eb Alto Saxophone (down a minor 3rd from concert pitch)

-F Horn (up a Perfect 5th from concert pitch) - 2 players

-Euphonium (concert pitch)

-String Bass (concert pitch; strings [low to high] E, A, D and G)

-Guitar (concert pitch; strings [low to high] E, A, D, G, B and E) - chord symbols may be used

Basic Chord Progression for the Song (you can use part or all of the progression)

Ex. Ab - Fm - means the Ab and Fm chords are half notes.

Ex. Cm - - Ab7 means the Cm is played for three counts and the Ab7 is played for one count.
